Single Output vs Multi-Mode – What’s the Difference?

Modlite light heads are available in two output configurations:

• Single Output: Features one constant High mode only at full power. Ideal for users who prefer simple, immediate maximum brightness.
• Multi-Mode:
  • Offers two selectable modes:
    • High Mode only
    • High Mode + Admin Mode 
      Users can easily switch between full brightness and a lower-output setting for administrative or close-range tasks, maximizing battery life and usability.

Single Mode: 

• Runtime with 18350 Battery
  • High Mode: ~35 minutes runtime (default configuration)
    
• Runtime with 18650 Battery
  • High Mode: ~75 minutes runtime (default configuration)
    

Multi-Mode:

• Runtime with 18350 Battery
  • High Mode: ~35 minutes runtime (default configuration)
  • Admin Mode: ~3.6 hours runtime at 15% output of High Mode Quick toggle between High and Admin mode depending on mission needs.
• Runtime with 18650 Battery
  • High Mode: ~75 minutes runtime (default configuration)
  • Admin Mode: ~10.6 hours runtime at 15% output of High Mode Quick toggle between High and Admin mode depending on mission needs.

Note: This light package is designed for 18650 cells. It is not compatible with 18350 batteries or single CR123s. However, Multi-Mode heads do support operation with two CR123 lithium cells when used with the correct light body.
