FUSION is a series of modular weapon mount components that provide users a configurable solution for placing accessories such as lights and lasers. The system was originally developed as a means to help put weapon accessories in more advantageous positions when rail space was at a premium. It allows the integration of industry-leading accessories from companies such as Surefire, Modlite Systems, Cloud Defense, Streamlight, and Steiner Optics. FUSION provides an opportunity for making micro-adjustment to the placement of accessories, providing users one of the most customizable platforms for setting up a complete weapon system. FUSION attaches all components to the weapon at a single rail-grabber position, allowing for compact, repeatedly-familiar setups across a range of weapon platforms.
The FUSION Micro Hub is the main component in the system and is required for use of all other pieces. It solidly mounts to standard M1913 Picatinny Rail via two recoil lug bolts. The Micro Hub features dual FUSION/Scout interfaces: one top and one overhang. The top interface will accept the FUSION Fixed or Folding Front Sight components (sold separately). The front sight height is standard F-marked.
It will also provide a direct mount for the most Steiner Optics Lasers. It requires the removal of the factory QD mount and acts as a direct replacement. This upgrade gives users the confidence of a hard-mounted aiming system. When installed on a Steiner laser, the FUSION Micro Hub places it at the same height as the factory mount.
The Micro Hub is reversible, allowing users to place the overhang on either the right or left side of the weapon rail. The overhang interface accepts direct-mount Surefire Scout footprints (also found on Modlite, Cloud, Streamlight weapon lights) for a 2 or 11 o’clock above bore placement. It also accepts FUSION Light Wings (sold separately) for cantilever forward or back accessory mounting.
*NOTE* "FDE" is used throughout our catalog to reference a spectrum of colors that include tan, brown, bronze, earth, and everything in between. Due to the chemical process that takes place during Type III Hardcoat, the final finish can vary from part to part (even parts done in the same batch). Therefore, your “FDE” product may vary from other parts from UNITY and other companies and may vary from the photos shown online.
