- Measure Your Waist: Put on the tactical or competition pants you plan to use and measure your waist circumference in inches over your pant loops.
- Factor in Equipment & Overlap: Competition rigs require overlapping space for secure fastening and room for holster/pouch mounting inner linings.

- Between Sizes or Heavy Gear Loadout? If your waist falls right on the threshold (e.g., 32 inches):
- Size Up (Choose 90): Recommended for most competitive operators. The extra length provides optimal overlap for velcro retention and accommodates inner/outer belt system thickness when fully loaded with mag pouches and speed holsters.
- Size Down (Choose 85): Only recommended if you run a minimalist setup with minimal gear on your belt.
