clpd-kj-shadow-2-competition-upgrade-kit
Shadow 2 Competition Upgrade Kit (Magic Recoil Spring & CL Hand-Polished OEM Mag Lip)

In practical shooting competitions like IPSC Action Air, gas efficiency and muzzle stability during rapid strings of fire dictate stage execution. Factory CZ Shadow 2 pistols often suffer from high mechanical drag between the loading nozzle and magazine feed lips, combined with unoptimized recoil spring rates. This leads to rapid cool-down effects, excessive gas consumption, and inconsistent cycling before a single magazine is emptied.

Engineered by custom race-gun pioneer Clarence Lai, the CL Project Design (CLPD) Shadow 2 Competition Upgrade Kit (SKUs: KJS2CUK / CLPD-0004) resolves pneumatic drag latency on the ASG / KJW CZ Shadow 2 GBB platform. This specialized combo set includes two critical performance components: the CLPD Magic Recoil Spring and a CL Hand-Polished OEM Magazine Lip. By hand-polishing the internal seal channels and feed ramp on the OEM magazine lip, friction against the loading nozzle is virtually eradicated to maximize gas compression. Paired with the custom-calibrated Magic Recoil Spring, the system absorbs rearward slide impact while delivering a smooth, rapid return cycle. Tested to yield over 40 rounds per single gas fill with flat recoil and consistent pressure retention, this kit is an essential upgrade for match competitors.

Key Features

CLPD Calibrated Magic Recoil Spring: Custom-engineered spring rate softens felt recoil impulse, stabilizing the sight picture for rapid sight recovery during high-tempo double-taps.

CL Hand-Polished OEM Magazine Lip: Hand-worked by Clarence Lai's technicians to a mirror-smooth finish, drastically cutting sliding resistance against the loading nozzle to optimize pneumatic gas seals.

Breakthrough 40+ Rounds Per Fill Gas Efficiency: Significantly reduces gas cool-down latency, allowing shooters to fire over 40 rounds on a single gas charge while maintaining high pressure.

Fluid Slide Cycling Profile: Minimizes mechanical friction between the nozzle housing and mag lip, preserving gas output and preventing premature slide lockup.

Seamless Drop-In Integration: Custom-contoured for direct drop-in replacement on ASG and KJW CZ Shadow 2 GBB pistols and factory magazines without permanent modifications.

Technical Highlights

Brand: CL Project Design (CLPD)

Product Name: Competition Upgrade Kit for ASG / KJ Shadow 2

Package Includes:

1x CLPD Magic Recoil Spring

1x CL Hand-Polished OEM Magazine Lip

Performance Benchmark: Shoots 40+ rounds per single gas charge with high pressure retention

Compatibility: Engineered specifically for ASG / KJW CZ Shadow 2 Series Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistols

Designer: Clarence Lai

Applications

Essential for IPSC Action Air match competitors, custom GBB armorers, and shooters looking to maximize gas efficiency, eliminate nozzle drag, and speed up sight recovery on ASG / KJW CZ Shadow 2 GBB pistols.

FAQ

Q: What parts are included in the CLPD Shadow 2 Competition Upgrade Kit?

A: The kit includes one CLPD custom Magic Recoil Spring and one CL Hand-Polished OEM Magazine Lip.

Q: How many rounds can you shoot per gas fill after installing this kit?

A: After installing the kit, the pistol can reliably fire over 40 rounds on a single gas fill with excellent pressure retention and smooth slide cycling.

Q: Is this kit compatible with both ASG and KJW CZ Shadow 2 GBB pistols?

A: Yes, both the Magic Recoil Spring and hand-polished magazine lip are custom-machined as direct drop-in replacements for ASG and KJW CZ Shadow 2 GBB pistols and factory magazines.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0592/0368/2494/files/CL105-KJShadow2competitionupgradekit-1.jpg?v=1753681323
